For me a CV is your future, and therefore it must describe your plans, your illusions, your target sectors, companies, positions, etc… to say, the next big thing in your career, I deeply think that the CV is the future not the past, and if you see the past on it is just to reflect the background necessary for the future.
Every CV is different and unique, a version for today for this position. Tomorrow that position needs another CV. Like my friend Maite Usón once said, “you are much than a CV and you can do many more things than a job description”. Therefore to summarize all the YOUs in you in a CV for a defined position with certain competences and experience, you need to detail it differently than in another job position.
I know that the reader first thinking might be that considering how difficult is to make a CV, then shall I even spend more time doing more. My reflexion is as follows, you do not have to apply to interesting positions in an aggressive way by sending the first CV you find and the first application letter. One must carefully decide to which jobs to apply and what is that job got to do with oneself and our career. This analysis (if one wants to to do good job search, one needs to go through these analysis), this analysis will end up into a complete different CV, like we do complete job interviews depending on which company applied.

Making a CV is one of the most difficult things in life, I can confirm. I always avoid it. I know I should not. But overtime I do it (when it is not urgent) I sit down at home where is the my most relaxing place i know. Some nice jazzy music and think. And when you feel relaxed, then think about yourself.
So when you are about to modify a CV, do it with the idea of a new change in your life, a new position that you want to apply. And for that deeply analyst the needs of that position or career move and if you take what is needed and if so, detail the needs, translate it into skills (abilities learnt or developed) and competences (inherent abilities). Then briefly find examples where you have developed them and qualify the positive results. Please do continue to modify the experience and examples with a achievements similar to what that position is needing. Continue like that to finalize CV and ask yourself if that CV will be what your future Manager will need, if not, start from the beginning of this post again.
